Improving Volleyball Together

Committees all have regular conversations on ways to help colleagues and grow volleyball in their respective areas.

Many of them are coaches committees that discuss pertinent topics relative to their specific level. Those coaches committee chairs serve on the AVCA Board of Directors, and hold monthly virtual meetings with their fellow committee members. Other committees help with various parts of the AVCA including Diversity Development, Coaches 4 Coaches, and various Awards Committees.

The committees are vital to the success of volleyball. With these active coaches volunteering their time to help the greater good, they all deserve a high-five from the volleyball community.

Diversity Development Team

The AVCA Diversity Development Team was formed in August, 2016. This Team of coaches appointed by the Team’s Chair is committed to coach development and to the diversity initiatives of the AVCA.

Head Coaches Committees

Members of NCAA DI, NCAA DII, NCAA DIII, Men’s, NAIA, Beach, Assistant Coaches and Two-Year College each have their own head coaches committee that discuss issues pertinent to their level. Typically, each member of the coaches committee is a representative from their conference. If you're interested in getting involved, fill out this form.

Awards Committees

Award recognition is one of the pillars of the AVCA, so there are countless opportunities to be involved in one of our many awards committees, including the Hall of Fame. If you're interested in joining one or multiple, please fill out this form.

The Coaches 4 Coaches Scholarship provides coaches and former athletes the ability to attend their first AVCA Convention. Scholarships awarded will cover the costs of convention registration and hotel.
