Roleder had two kills early for the Trojans, adding a service ace as the Women of Troy took an early 6-3 lead in the first set. Jupiter put one down and also added an ace as USC built its margin to an 11-5 score. After USC led 16-9, the Pride responded with four straight points as Calinda posted back-to-back kills. Roleder stopped the bleeding and Jupiter added three more kills to her total as the Trojans kept its lead at five, 21-16. Garrett and Roleder teamed up for a block and Garrett added a kill as USC closed out the set one victory.
After four kills by Jupiter put it at 5-5 in the second set, both teams traded points all the way to a 17-17 score. Williams and Carico broke the streak with kills, but Hofstra came back as Ashley Legerretta to tie it again at 19-19. Garrett recorded a kill and teamed up with Carico on a block to keep the lead for good. A service error by USC made it a 23-22 score, but a Gysin/Garrett stuff and set-clinching kill by Gysin put the Women of Troy up two games to none.
Back-to-back aces from Roleder helped USC get out to a 7-4 lead in the third set. Monica Knight knocked down a kill for Hofstra and helped Taylor Moore on a block to tie the game at 11-11. USC then pulled away as Jupiter's three kills were part of an 8-2 run with the 19-13 lead. Hofstra got to within three, but the Trojans tallied the last five points to earn the sweep.
