No. 22 Indianapolis Defeats Saint Joseph 3-1

RENSSELAER, Ind. - The 22nd-ranked University of Indianapolis volleyball team earned a four-set win against Saint Joseph's at Richard F. Scharf Fieldhouse Tuesday night (25-15, 25-27, 25-14, 28-26). The win pushed UIndy's record to 8-2 overall this year and 2-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Sophomore Cheneta Morrison led all players with 18 kills, including eight in the third set. The Fort Wayne, Ind. native also notched her first double-double of the season with 11 digs.

Fresh off being named to the All-Tournament Team at the recently completed Flyer Festival, senior Beth Robbins and Lyndsay Callahan also recorded double-doubles. Robbins totaled 53 assists and 13 digs while Callahan had 12 kills and 11 digs while adding two aces.

Also, junior Kyleigh Turner scooped 20 digs and freshman Courtney Anglemyer contributed 11 kills.

UIndy (8-2, 2-0 GLVC) hosts fellow GLVC East Division-member Kentucky Wesleyan Sep. 12 in its home opener at Ruth Lilly Center. Start time Friday is scheduled for 7 pm.
