PRINCETON, NJ -- Rutgers-Newark junior outside hitter Nate Stott (Clovis, CA/Clovis HS) had a dozen kills and freshman Marcin Midura (Edison, NJ/St. Joseph's) notched 10 but Princeton rallied for a 3-1 win in Dillon Gym.  Set scores were 33-35, 30-23, 30-24, 30-25.

Sophomore setter Jeff Zornig (Coto de Caza, CA/Tesoro) registered 42 assists, six kills, five digs and two blocking assists.

Junior middle hitter Kenneth Stumbaugh (Richmond, VA/Deep Run) hit .467 with eight kills and just one error on 15 swings while adding six assisted blocks and an ace for the Raiders (3-5) while senior outside hitter Derek Wolfe (Orlando, FL/Timbercreek) totaled 11 points with nine kills and four assisted blocks.

Junior middle blocker Jon Keller (Reading, PA/Exeter Township) collected six kills, a solo block and five assisted blocks before leaving the match in the fourth set with a sprained ankle.

The Tigers (4-4) got match-highs of 18 kills and six aces from Phillip Rosenberg as four Princeton players reached double digit kills in a balanced assault.

A kill by Wolfe, a service ace by freshman Jake Thompson (Derby, NY/Lake Shore) and a block by Keller and Wolfe rallied from a set-point deficit at 33-32 to a win in set one. Stott, Midura and Keller had four kills apiece in the opening frame.

The Tigers hit .533 in the second set, jumping out to an early start for an easy win.

In the third frame, Rosenberg had five kills as Princeton broke an early 6-6 tie to cruise into command of the contest.

A Stumbaugh kill evened the fourth set at 20-20 before the Tigers got back-to-back kills from Rosenberg to seize control of the set. Rosenberg and Carl Hamming, who finished with 14 kills, had five kills apiece in the final set while Stott led the Raiders with three.
