Play Ball! National Champions to Throw Out First Pitch for MN Twins

The Concordia University volleyball team, 2007 NCAA Division II National Champions, will be making another public appearance in the Twin Cities on Wednesday, April 2 when they will be honored on the field before the Minnesota Twins host the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minn.

The team will throw out the ceremonial first pitch after being honored, which includes images of their title run scrolling on the Jumbotrons. They will also have the opportunity to lead the crowd in the singing of Take Me Out to the Ballgame at the 7th inning stretch.

The Golden Bears have already made numerous public appearances, including a trip to the State Capitol to meet Gov. Tim Pawlenty, reading to elementary school children at Museum Magnet Elementary, they have been featured on WCCO TV and KARE11 Sports and were honored at the Slam Bash 2008 women in sports banquet hosted by the Minnesota Lynx.
