CAMERON PARK, Calif. --- MaxPreps.com and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) will continue their partnership in an effort to promote high school girls volleyball and highlight accomplishments of the nearly 400,000 student-athletes participating in the sport annually throughout the entire nation.

"It's exciting to be aligned with an organization like the AVCA," MaxPreps Director of Operations and Coach Marketing Lindsay Moore said. "The AVCA has done so much for the development of the sport of volleyball and the opportunity to assist in those efforts through the MaxPreps audience is something we look forward to continuing."

MaxPreps will continue to serve as the official statistics and results provider for the AVCA's High School Player of the Week program and the AVCA's Under Armour Girls' High School All-America program. The Player of the Week program will expand to 29 states this fall, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. Coaches must submit statistics to MaxPreps.com in order for their athletes to be considered for both programs.

"The partnership with MaxPreps has been a god-send for the AVCA," AVCA Executive Director Kathy DeBoer said. "Their free high school webpages and statistics compilation services are not only valuable tools for coaches but they allow the AVCA to recognize noteworthy performances each week during the high school season. Also, a national statistics database is critical to the selection of our Under Armour High School All-America Team. We are thrilled with this partnership and renewal."

The organizations will also team to promote the AVCA Convention and the Runza/AVCA Volleyball Showcase. MaxPreps will sponsor the annual High School Leadership Council Meeting, held each year at the convention.

MaxPreps publishes schedules, scores and standings for each of the nearly 17,000 schools participating in girls' volleyball across the country. MaxPreps also provides high school coaches with free team pages, statistical software and a variety of other free services.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association, based in Lexington, Ky., is the national leader in volleyball coaching education.  With a membership of over 4,900, the AVCA supplies educational materials, creates media content, and provides recognition opportunities for coaches and players at all levels of the sport.
