NJCAA Volleyball Players of the Week (Sept. 23, 2009

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Sept. 23, 2009) - Ni 'Suzy' Xu of the Iowa Western Community College, Samantha Krilich of Prairie State College (Ill.) and Natalie Olsen of Rock Valley College (Ill.) have been named the NJCAA Volleyball Players of the Week.
Ni Xu of Iowa Western had an outstanding week in helping her club to six wins. She recorded 81 kills and 23 blocks in wins over Indian Hills (Iowa), Northeastern (Colo.), Otero (Colo.), Barton County (Kan.), Laredo (Texas) and Seward County (Kan.). Her best performance came against Barton County where she tallied 22 kills and two blocks. For the week she posted a .390 hitting percentage and had just 16 errors.
In helping Prairie State to six wins last week, Samantha Krilich was named the MVP of the Prairie State College Volleyball Tournament. She recorded 48 kills and a .333 hitting percentage for the week. She also had 14 aces, seven blocks and 16 errors. She posted 12 kills in wins over Oakton and South Suburban and had four aces in victories over Milwaukee Area Tech and Triton.
Natalie Olsen is the second Rock Valley player to receive NJCAA Player of the Week honors in as many weeks. She helped Rock Valley go 6-1 on last week, including a second place finish at the Kankakee Invitational Tournament and two of their wins were over No. 2 Madison Area Tech. She she recorded over 20 kills a match in three of Rock Valley's wins and finished the week with 93 total kills. He best statistical game came against Muskegon where she recorded 23 kills, including five in the fifth set alone.
