Julie Hall Records 400th Career Victory
WHITEWATER, Wis. - Elmhurst head volleyball coach Julie Hall earned the 400th victory of her career as the Elmhurst College volleyball team split a pair of matches on the second day of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational.
Hall recorded her 400th victory in Elmhurst's 25-22, 25-13, 25-19 win over the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse to start the day. The Bluejays fell in the nightcap to tournament host University of Wisconsin-Whitewater 19-25, 24-26, 25-11, 24-26.
In the Bluejays win over UW-La Crosse, Lindy Melville finished with a team-high 19 assists while Erin Thill finished with 15 assists. Caitlin O'Hara finished with a team-leading 10 kills while Meghan Mullaney added 10 kills. Paige Fombelle chipped in with three blocks while Katie Buechel added 15 digs.
In Elmhurst's loss to UW-Whitewater, Melville recorded a team-leading 34 assists while Buechel totaled a team-leading 17 digs. Mullaney, Lisa Burger, and Antonéya Veasy Smith tallied 10 kills apiece in the loss. Burger added three kills while Veasy Smith added four blocks. O'Hara led the Bluejays in blocks with five.
Hall, Elmhurst's all-time winningest volleyball coach, upped her career record to 400-197 (.670 winning percentage).
Elmhurst finished the tournament with a 2-2 overall record and moved to 7-8 on the season.
