A. Molten Division III Men's Championship Status - Mark Pavlik provided the committee with an update regarding the 2002 Molten Division III Men's Championship. He reported the committee roster was expanded to increase representation of those sponsoring Division III men's volleyball. It was reported that Molten has verbally agreed to an extended sponsorship of the invitational. Additionally, three institutions had submitted bids to host the 2002 tournament - Clarke, La Verne and NYU.

B. NCAA Legislation - A discussion took place regarding the details of legislation put forth by the CUNYAC requesting that: 1.) The Molten Men's Division III Invitational be considered an exempt event; 2.) The minimum number of institutions sponsoring a sport needed to meet NCAA championship requirements be decreased to 40 for men's volleyball; 3.) An NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Committee be established.

C. AVCA Convention Scheduling for Men's Coaches - A lengthy discussion was held regarding the meetings and sessions provided for coaches of men's volleyball at the upcoming AVCA Convention in San Diego on Dec. 11-15. It was decided that Jenifer would meet with Kelly Stosik, AVCA Director of Membership, to schedule time and rooms for the men's general, the AVCA Men's Committee, the Men's Division III/Molten Championship, the men's rules and the men's program start-up meetings. Additionally, a short discussion occurred on the topic of sending a letter to all AVCA-member men's coaches encouraging them to attend the convention.

D. Miscellaneous - A short discussion occurred regarding the request by Lees-McRae to join the EIVA. Additionally, Joel Walton provided an MIVA report and Mark Pavlik provided an EIVA update.

The next conference call is scheduled for Tuesday, November 13 at noon EST.
