AVCA and USA Volleyball Announce New Club Membership

Lexington, Ky. (November 5, 2010) - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and USA Volleyball (USAV), the national governing body for the sport, have announced a new membership category specifically for Club Directors who are registered with a region of USAV.  The new membership of $105 allows the Club Director the option to register their Associate Club Director(s) or Coaching Coordinator(s) for $55, a savings of $15 per coach, and their club coaches for $40, a savings of $30 per coach. 

"The volleyball community, while multi-dimensional, is also very interdependent," said AVCA Executive Director Kathy DeBoer, "This partnership allows us to share knowledge and expertise across the many coaching platforms, and, in the process, improve the affordability and accessibility of coaching education. We value our relationship with USAV and welcome their club directors into our association."      

All coaches in the registered club will receive full AVCA membership benefits which include six issues of Coaching Volleyball magazine, 24 issues of the skills and drills bulletin Volleyball ACE Power Tips and 24 issues of the informational e-newsletter At the Net; member discounts on the AVCA convention, spring conference and webinars; access to the AVCA jobs board, Minority coaches scholarships, and products and services discounts.  They will also receive 12 issues of the e-newsletter, VolleyBiz, which focuses on business and advocacy issues in club volleyball.
