Big Ten Network to Televise Rockville Outlets/AVCA Showcase

CHICAGO - The BTN will offer live, national television coverage of the Rockvale Outlets/AVCA College Volleyball Showcase on Aug. 26-27, from University Park, Pa. The 17th annual event will be highlighted by four-time defending national champion and top-ranked Penn State pitted against 2010 semifinalist and No. 2 Southern California at 8 PM ET on Saturday. Three of the four participating teams open the 2011 campaign ranked in the top-15 of the AVCA Preseason Division I Coaches Top 25 Poll.

 

The Nittany Lions will host the tournament from Rec Hall and represent the Big Ten Conference, along with No. 12 Minnesota. The Women of Troy and Oregon will represent the Pac-12 Conference.  Under the conference challenge format, each school will face the two teams from the opposing conference.
