D. Nominations for the 2011 Grant Burger Media Award will be accepted starting Wednesday, April 6 through Monday, May 2. Nomination forms will be found on the AVCA Website here: http://avca.org/awards/grant-burger-media-award/. Be sure and nominate a deserving member of the media who goes above and beyond to promote the sport of volleyball!
E. HCC BLOG: A potential solution for us if we desire to start a blog, or a place where you can facilitate some sort of online discussion, etc. The AVCA has been experimenting with something called Yammer. It's very similar to the concepts of Facebook, but the AVCA can organize us into our own separate network or community where only we, Leah and members of the HCC, can see what's going on and engage in dialogue. There are features to add a poll, as well as photos, etc, etc. If we are interested in setting something up for our group, we just need to let Leah know. Leah says "it is very simple to use."

John Leavens (3/31/2011) said in his email - We wanted to remind you of a few things to keep in mind so those top-notch recruits you've been talking to will get the chance to PlayNAIA as a member of your team:
A. Make sure you have access to PlayNAIA Manager so you can build your Short List. Attached to this email are updated instructions for athletic directors on how to grant access.
B. Log in to PlayNAIA Manager and create a security question for your account by clicking on "Return to my Profile." This will ensure your continued access in case you ever need to retrieve your password.
C. Build your Short List. Remember, your Short List should contain your most serious recruits so that the NAIA Eligibility Center staff know which students to give priority when making determinations. As always, if you have questions, we're here to provide you with answers! Call us at 816-595-8300 or email us at ECinfo@naia.org and we'll be back in touch!
