Sept. 30 - Lauren Bevan, a senior outside hitter for West Texas A&M University, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week. Bevan did it all last week for the Lady Buffs, recording strong numbers across the board leading her squad to a perfect 3-0 week. In her first two matches against Cameron and Tarleton State, she combined for 32 kills 16 digs and four blocks while hitting .393 and .343, respectively. Her best match came against Angelo State where she nailed 22 kills on .500 hitting with 10 digs in the four-set win. Like the Lady Buffs, Angelo State is receiving votes in the AVCA Coaches Poll. For the week, the California native averaged 5.40 kills and 2.60 digs per set and hit .416.
