Selkridge leads Tampa into the NCAA Tournament

Nov. 20 - Danielle Selkridge, a senior middle hitter for No. 7 University of Tampa, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week.  Selkridge helped Tampa clinch its eighth straight SSC Title with a win over Eckerd where she blasted 18 kills with no errors.  She also added another five blocks and hit .692 for the match.  A few days later she had another strong match against Barry, hitting .533 with another 10 kills in the sweep, finishing the week averaging 3.5 kills per set.  This marks the fourth time a player from Tampa has earned a Sports Imports/AVCA Division II Player of the Week honor, with three of those coming from Selkridge.  She most recently garnered the honor earlier this year the week of October 23rd.  The Spartans are coached by Chris Catanach.
