JVA Begins "Club of the Month" Award
Lexington, Ky. (August 24, 2011) - As an association of club directors and coaches we can improve and grow the sport of volleyball by learning from the success of other member clubs. Briana SchunzelJVA Adds Briana (Adamovsky) Schunzel to Staff

Lexington, Ky. (July 26, 2011) - The JVA is pleased to announce the hiring of Briana (Adamovsky) Schunzel as the newest member of the organization's staff. JVA Held Mid-Year Meeting

Lexington, Ky. (June 28, 2011) - JVA held their 2011 Midyear Meeting last week in Orlando in conjunction with the AAU National Championships.  One of the highlights of the meeting was the Financial Report by Treasurer, Bill Milborn.  Bill reported that due to the financial success of the 2011 JVA World Challenge Championships Presented by Rox Volleyball, JVA will be providing their educational programs to all members for free this coming season!  Read More

JVA Announces New Board Positions at Annual Meeting

At our Annual Meeting on December 17th in Kansas City, Ron Kordes, Board President, announced that Joe Jablonski, Texas Advantage, won the election for a new three year term.  He thanked the other candidates: Dan Mickle, Yorktown VBC of PA; Jimmy Miranda, Louisianna VBC of LA; and Michael Pittman, Choo Choo City VBC in TN.  "JVA is fortunate to have had such a strong field of candidates that are willing to serve on our Board".

The following clubs signed in at the Annual Meeting: Dallas Summit, St. Louis CYC, Nebraska One, Louisiana Volleyball, East End Waves, Wisconsin Juniors, Milwaukee Sting, Texas Advantage, KIVA, Club Fusion, Thoroughbread VBC, Sports Performance VBC, VBC Volleyball Club, southwest Illinois VBC, Wisconsin Power, Far OUT, Jacksonville Juniors, Dayton juniors, Moto, and Austin Juniors.  Thanks to our partners and sponsors (Championship DVD's, Molten, Rox and JVA), everyone attending the meeting received a gift. Minutes of the Annual Meeting will be posted after approval by the Board.

JVA Announces New Executive Director

Jenny Hahn, founder and director of Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Club, has accepted the Executive Director position of the JVA.  She was unanimously endorsed by the Board and will transition into the position by early January.  Full Release.

JVDA Name Change Announced

During the 18-Open championship finals at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky, the Junior Volleyball Directors Association (JVDA) announced a name change for the organization. Full Release.

JVA Board Announces Ron Kordes as President-Elect

The Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) Board of Directors has announced the election of Ron Kordes as the organization's new President-Elect. Full Release.     

JVDA Contracts with Firm to Create Exciting Match Environment for Championship Matches

The JVDA has contracted with Olympic experienced Production Firm MavRen Marketing from Atlanta to produce each of their 13 Championship Matches at the JVDA Championships, to take place from June 26 to June 30 at the Kentucky Expo Center and Freedom Hall.  Click here for full release.

The JVDA Championships continues to grow, as the JVDA and AVCA announced that the AVCA Girls' Talent Showcase at the JVDA Championships is now at capacity.  Click here for full release.

2009 JVDA Event Surpasses Inaugural Championships

The JVDA Tournament Committee announced today that the 2009 Tournament entries has exceeded 500 teams for this year's event, an increase of 30 teams over last year's event.  Click here for full release.   

JVDA and Mizuno USA Ink Three-Year Agreement
The JVDA and Mizuno USA, a leader in sporting goods manufacturing, have announced a three-year partnership to help grow junior volleyball.  The terms of the agreement include jointly presenting youth volleyball events, a VolleyTots and mini volleyball manual, regional educational presentations, equipment and VolleyTots tours over the next three years.  Click here for full release.   
JVDA Launches Texas Power League Series in 2010

Plans are progressing for the newly formed Texas Power League beginning in 2010 with a January, February and March date.  The dates and locations are being finalized, but current plans are to have a stop in Dallas, Austin and Houston in the series beginning in January 2010.  Click here for full release.

  
JVDA and AAU Announce Strategic Partnership
The JVDA and the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) today announced a strategic partnership beginning with the 2010 junior volleyball season. As part of the partnership, the JVDA will sanction the 2010 AAU Championships as the official year-end event for all JVDA teams.  Click here for complete release.

Profit and Loss Statement from the 2008 JVDA Championships... One of the principles upon which the Junior Volleyball Directors Association (JVDA) was founded is financial transparency in the management of the organization's affairs.  Please examine the following Profit and Loss Statement from the 2008 JVDA Championships and give your Board of Directors feedback and suggestions for the future.  You can see that almost 50% of the tournament profit was reinvested into the event itself (foreign teams, televised show, etc.), the remainder will be used to build the JVDA into a nationally representative voice for junior volleyball.  Click here to read the information.

JVDA Holds Successful Board Meeting

On September 2nd and 3rd, the Junior Volleyball Directors Association (JVDA) assembled for a Board of Directors (BOD) meeting. The eight board members gathered at the Fusion Volleyball Center in Marengo, IL to evaluate what the JVDA had accomplished during the past year, and determine what the direction the association would strive for during the next year.
