Note: schedule and presenters subject to change.  Any coach who reaches the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championships will be excused from his/her presentation(s). A substitute session will be scheduled as a replacement.

Convention Schedule 2Kick-off your convention week on Wednesday at the pre-convention seminar.  Mike Hebert, former head women's volleyball coach at the University of Minnesota, and Shelton Collier, head women's volleyball coach at Wingate University, will lead a full-day, in-depth session that will outline the tipping points for program development.  First you need a breakout season or two, and then you must figure out how to stay in the hunt year in and year out.  Learn from these veteran program-builders how to attain early success and then how to sustain it.  Also on Wednesday is the AVCA golf tournament.  Join volleyball coaches from around the country for a day of camaraderie and competition.  The Republic Golf Course will serve as host for this year's scramble format tournament.  End the day on the blackjack or poker tables at the Under Armour® Opening Night Reception featuring casino night presented by 1st Place Volleyball.

On Thursday it's time to honor your coaching peers at the Jostens Coaches Honors Luncheon. Be there to recognize the Coach of the Year winners and Hall of Fame inductees. The convention educational seminars get going in full force so come ready to learn and take advantage of the opportunity to make yourself a better coach and leader. Be sure and make time to visit the vendors in Volleyball Marketplace. The marketplace opens on Thursday morning and over 100 vendors will be on hand to show you the latest products and services in the sport. Take part in some pre-semifinal match festivities at the Grotto on the famous San Antonio River Walk and celebrate this year's AVCA Victory Club honorees at the AVCA Semifinal Tailgate Party, a new addition to this year's schedule, before heading over to the Alamodome to watch the best teams in college volleyball compete in the NCAA semifinal matches.

The best college volleyball players in the country are honored on Friday at the AVCA All-America/Players of the Year Banquet presented by Zamst. Celebrate the best in the sport while networking with your coaching peers at one of the convention's signature events. Later that evening, the fun shifts to the Spalding Reception and Coaches Tournament in Volleyball Marketplace. Watch your peers relive the glory of their playing days or spend time visiting with vendors on the show floor. If you need a last minute gift for the holidays don't forget the silent auction in the center of Volleyball Marketplace. The fourth annual Under Armour All-America Volleyball Match & Skills Competition moves to Friday night this year as the top 24 high school seniors step onto the championship floor to compete.  Finish the day showing off your dance moves at the Nfinity Party or by testing your poker skills in the Texas Hold'em Tournament & Party.

Coaching education highlights the schedule on Saturday as nearly thirty classroom, on-court and sand seminars are available to choose from. No matter which level you coach the AVCA has sessions developed specially for you. The Under Armour®/AVCA Holiday Tournament is back for its third year and will include approximately 60 teams. Coaches attending the AVCA convention are admitted free so take advantage of this recruiting opportunity. Cap your night off in the Alamodome and see which team will win the 2011 NCAA National Championship.

On Sunday morning college coaches won't want to miss the NCSA/AVCA Fall Girls' Talent Showcase presented by Under Armour. This is a recruiting event for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors as well as junior college players. Coaches are encouraged to make their flights home on Sunday afternoon and take advantage of this recruiting event.
