AVCA Collegiate Beach All-America

Nominations will be accepted Monday, April 21 through Monday, April 28 at 2pm ET.

Award Guidelines:

• STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to only nominate athletes from 1’s or 2’s pairs. The committee will only consider 2’s or lower if your 1’s players are selected as All-Americans.
• Please nominate your players as EARLY as possible to assist the committee with data analysis. AVCA pulls results from CBVB.com and will include ALL matches completed before selections occur.
• Athletes may be in any year of eligibility in their sport.
• Athlete must have a winning record in their matches.
• Athlete will be individually considered, but both from a pair may be nominated.
• Athletes must meet all eligibility requirements as listed in the rules adopted by their respective institution.
• The athlete must be nominated by their head coach.
• All deadlines and guidelines must be met for a nomination to be considered.
• Head coach must be a member in good standing of the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

Criteria that will be used in the selection process:

• The committee will only consider 2s or lower if your 1s nominee(s) are selected as All-Americans.
• First Team and Second Team athletes will be chosen by the Committee based upon the results included on each nomination.
• The committee may select individual athletes from a pair if their results deem it.
• Selections will be based upon regular season and post-season results, head-to-head matchups, and results versus common opponents.
• More consideration will be given to teams that defeat pairs on nationally-ranked teams.
• The selection committee will name one AVCA Player of the Year (no longer naming a PAIR of the year). No additional nomination details are required for your athletes to be considered.

All-Americans will be announced on May 1. If your student-athletes are selected, head coaches and SIDs will be notified in advance by AVCA staff.

AVCA Collegiate Beach Coach and Assistant Coach of the Year

Monday, April 14 through Monday, April 28 – Coach and Assistant Coach of the Year Nominations Accepted

Head and lead assistant coaches from the teams that were selected to participate in the championship will automatically be considered for the award. Additional programs may nominate their Head and/or lead assistant coaches. *Note: AVCA members no longer vote for Coach of the Year. Honorees will be selected by the All-America committee. Coaches of the Year will be announced May 2.

AVCA Top Flight

Nominations are required for Top Flight Award honors. Due dates:

• NCAA Division III – Monday, April 14
• NCAA Division II – Monday, April 14
• NAIA – Monday, April 21
• NJCAA/Two-Year College – Monday, April 21
• NCAA Division I – Monday, April 28

Top Flight winners (all divisions) will be announced May 2.
